Secretary's Citation winner for Excellent Customer Service

Wayne Cooper has more than 41 years of service to the Maryland UI program. He is a "Living Legend" of customer service as the Supervisor of the UI Inquiry and Correspondence Unit.

Wayne has the unique ability to make a difficult task look easy. Wayne will consistently reduce the complexity of answering a simple question, (e.g. Why didn't I receive my UI benefits?), with a clear, understandable and indisputable answer. All of his customers receive a response characterized by empathy and concern for their particular situation.

Wayne likes tennis, his cat and bad jokes; loves his job; and is passionate about providing high quality customer service. He is an integral component of the public persona of the Maryland UI program.

Way to go, Wayne!
