State offices and all DLLR physical locations will be closed to the public November 26 through November 28, 2014. However, Unemployment Insurance telephone and Web operations WILL be available on Wednesday, November 26.

Important Notice - Please Read - Increase in Maximum Unemployment Insurance Weekly Benefit Amount - Unemployment Insurance Claimants

 

The maximum weekly unemployment insurance benefit amount is increasing from $410 to $430 for all new claims filed on or after October 4, 2010. If you are filing your internet claim during the week of September 27 to October 1, 2010, the maximum weekly benefit amount you may be eligible for is $410. Unemployment insurance benefits are based on your prior earnings and range from $25 to the maximum allowed under the law.

If you file your claim on the internet at this time, and are eligible for the maximum, your benefits will not be increased above the $410 amount. If you would like more information, click on the link to the Maryland Unemployment Insurance Claim Centers and call the center nearest to your home between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO WAIT TO FILE YOUR CLAIM UNTIL OCTOBER 4, 2010, YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR ANY UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE BENEFITS FOR THE WEEK ENDING OCTOBER 2, 2010.
