Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Governance Workgroup Overview and Notes - Workforce Development & Adult Learning
The work group’s purpose is to streamline and improve the effectiveness of the public workforce investment system’s governing structures, empower elected officials and workforce boards, establish structures for working regionally aligned with regional economies, and engage key stakeholders needed to lead the system in achieving goals in WIOA.
The work group’s mission is to identify best practices for developing and achieving a strategic, integrated plan supporting economic growth and labor force needs to grow the capacity and performance of the workforce system.
