DLLR and your Board are pleased to announce that Senate Bill 267 which extends the State Board of Certified Interior Designers for another ten years was signed into law on May 13, 2003.

Pursuant to Maryland law, each board or commission is subject to 'sunset review" periodically to determine if it should continue. The Maryland law governing the Board of Certified Interior Designers was scheduled to terminate in 2004. However, after review and consideration by the 2003 Session of the Maryland General Assembly, it was determined to continue the law governing your Title act for certification of interior designers for the next ten years, until 2014, when it will once again be subject to sunset review.

We appreciate your efforts to promote the interior design profession in Maryland by becoming certified.

Welcome to our home page. The State Board of Certified Interior Designers certifies and regulates certified interior designers under the provisions of Business Occupations and Professions Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, Title 8 and the Code of Maryland Regulations 09.18. The Board also investigates complaints against certified interior designers.
