On May 16, 2013, Governor Martin O'Malley signed House Bill 347 into law, enabling the State Board for Professional
Engineers to establish a firm permit requirement. Beginning October 1, 2015, corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies
offering engineering services in Maryland, must hold a permit issued by the Board.
