State offices and all DLLR physical locations will be closed to the public December 24 & December 25, 2014. However, Unemployment Insurance telephone and Web operations WILL be available on Wednesday, December 24.

US DOL Assistant Secretary and the Maryland Department of Labor Celebrate Grand Opening of the Laurel Regional Workforce Center

 

Maryland’s first regional workforce center to service Anne Arundel, Howard, Prince George's and Montgomery counties

BALTIMORE, MD. (September 24, 2012) – On Thursday, September 27, 2012, US Department of Labor (DOL) Assistant Secretary of Employment and Training Administration Jane Oates and the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) celebrate the official opening of the Laurel Regional Workforce Center (LRWC). It is the first of its kind regional workforce center. During the opening, remarks, a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of the new facility will be open to invited dignitaries, press and the public.

The Workforce Center is unique in that one location offers comprehensive employment and training services for job seekers and businesses for four counties. Serving individuals in Anne Arundel, Howard, Prince George's, and Montgomery counties, LRWC offers a vast array of resources for job seekers and businesses. LRWC staff works on behalf of the entire region to provide quality, innovative workforce development services and solutions to residents and businesses throughout the State of Maryland.
