Maryland One-Stop Career Centers offer a myriad of resources that will
assist the job seeker in his or her search for gainful employment. The Maryland Department
of Labor, Licensing and Regulation joins with local Workforce Investment Boards and other
Workforce Investment Act partners to provide job seekers with virtually unlimited
resources of employment opportunities through the 39 Maryland One-Stop Career Centers
across the state. Each of the centers offers access to the Maryland Workforce Exchange
which is a web-based program that lets job seekers manage their own career account using
individual on-line folders. A visit to the Maryland Workforce Exchange site will provide
not only assistance to job seekers but also to employers who post their job openings in
the job bank or look for potential candidates for employment opportunities. From outside
the Maryland One-Stop Career Centers, you can access
Maryland Workforce Exchange to search Maryland's Job Bank and receive job search
information.
Maryland One-Stop Career Centers offer a diversity of services to their customers. The
Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program
offers a tax incentive for employers to hire people who
may have barriers to employment. Additionally, a Veterans
Services Program is available and provides employment assistance to the Veterans of the
armed forces. The Agricultural Employers and Workers Program
is available for those individuals who are in need of assistance.
